Edward Elric x Reader

You had just completed the shopping expedition your sick mother had sent you on. You came home on your "Alchemy Board": basically a piece of wood with a transmutation circle on it and some wheels. Your family wasn't that wealthy anyway, so your father taught you how to use alchemy.

Your backstory is a long and sad one. Your parents both knew alchemy, and they did scientific research together. Recently, your father passed away while in Laboratory 5, and your mother never got over it. She then used her alchemy to bring him back to life. His homunculus was still out there, but you could never find it. Your mom had been sick in bed for 8 months now, still without a lung transplant.

Ever since, you had trained with alchemy for all your life, even depriving yourself of sleep to work harder. But, your father wasn't the only influence. News travelled fast where you lived, a few miles west of Dublith, so you knew who the Elric Brothers were. You dreamed for them to teach you, and you desperately wanted to travel with them. Best of all, you had a deep crush on Edward Elric.

You had heard over news that they were passing by, and you were more than overjoyed. You neatened everything in the house, though it was already neat. You started drinking more often with your friends. And soon enough, the grand news came.

The Elric Brothers were going to stay in your little town.

Once you heard, you screamed. This was past your mind. You had no idea what to do. Your (insert color) eyes blew up like fireworks. You dreamed, and now they were going to be here. You couldn't wait.

On your way back to the shack, or the Alchemy House, as you called it (you like to make weird names for things), people were surrounding the house. There was what looked like a short boy about your age with a blonde braid and a huge metal "thing" walking behind it. "Hey, wait a second, stop--" you tried to push the crowd away so you could get to your house. At this point, you were off your board. You saw the two mysterious people waving and entering the Alchemy House. You ran inside to see your mother smiling and conversing with the two strangers but still in bed.

"(Name), we have visitors." Her mother said, a slight rasp in her voice. "Who the hell are you?" you said sounding threatening. The metal one put his hands up. "We're the Elric Brothers. We mean no harm to you."

That's when it hit you. Shorty McBlondebraids and Metal Boy here were the Elric Brothers. "You?" You pointed to the short one. "Shorty here is THE Fullmetal? HAH!" You cackled. "DON'T CALL ME SHORT!" The blonde one shouted as he jumped towards you, about to throw a punch. You dodged. "Wow, short AND short-tempered!" You're second side was starting to show. Your mother whimpered. "(Name)…"

"Shut up, mom! Let me take care of them-" You blacked out as you tried to attack him back.
