"Ma'am? Are you alright?" Blondie McShortpants or whoever it was was standing over you. You had to admit to yourself, this guy was pretty cute.

What happened?"

"It was another mood attack, (name)" your mother said sadly.

"Are you guys really the Elrics?" you asked suspiciously.

"Yup!" the blonde one replied.

"I'm guessing Mr. Armor here is Fullmetal."

"Actually no," the metal one said, "I'm Alphonse."

The blonde one obviously got frustrated. "I'm Fullmetal, also known as Edward Elric." He extended his gloved hand to you as you started to get up. You took his offer, almost pulling him down.

"(Name)," your mother tried to tell you something.

"Yes, mother?"

"I think you should ask these young men to take you, and teach you alchemy."

"That would probably be too much for them!" you replied. You giggled a bit. Ed was staring
right at you. He was really starting to rub off on you.

"That wouldn't be a problem. We could just take you back to central and all." Ed suggested.

"I agree. You might rub off on some people." Alphonse added.

"Wait, (name), I want you to take this book," your mom said. She handed you the Shadow Alchemy book you had always wanted to read ever since you turned 10.

"No way, Mom! I couldn't do this!" You denied it. Your mom never let you read it at that age because she knew of the power it had.

"I think you can read it now. You seem mature enough now to do it." You looked it over, and you couldn't believe it. It was your lifelong dream to read this book. And now you had the chance. Tears started to run down your face.
"I can't go, mom. Who would take care of you? Who would make you dinners?"

"Ashton would. He said if I ever needed care, I could live with him."

"Ashton? The bastard with the little hellspawn that live with him? No way! I'm not letting you stay there! You know they are the worst."

"They apologized for that. You even saw them come and bring flowers."

"Thank goodness I was on my way shopping. That man gives me nausea."

"Anyways, he apologized for everything he had put us through. I am going to stay with him." Your mother's voice became sterner.

"Fine then. I hope you enjoy your stay. Anyways, I will visit, I promise. Don't die on me, okay?"

"(Name…), I love you." Your mother blew you a weak kiss as you went to grab your Alchemy Sack of Wonder, or your bag.

"Are we going?" You asked the Elrics.

"Of course!" Ed replied. "Let's go!"
